Subscription running out, I've got one day and eight hours. Man.
Well, there is no way I'm going back to dA without a subscription, so I will have to invest and buy a new one again. At only $40-ish NZD it's not a bad deal, 12 months of it will do. The search function... My God. Searchhhhhhhhhh. Rules. And it would be pretty lame without all the journal features as well, I'm not going back to old ~AstronomyDomine... I think I'll try the Beta Tester stuff as well, when I get a new sub, and actually put a bit more effort into dA. Semester end is coming up, so I'll have a bunch of time during the holidays.
I'll be coming up on two years at dA, this December, what a milestone... Hopefully I'll actually start to turn out some decent photomanipulation pieces, and start getting some more rewards out of it.

dA Life: Woohoo finished my Tool themed piece, Vicarious. I have a few scattered ideas that could turn into something, but for now I think I'll take a quick break. Browsing stock is fun, I like doing that and just waiting for an idea to come from the stock, rather than trying to find photos to fit a pre-meditated idea.
Music Life: I've joined a new band, my old friends from Second Foundation are going way too heavy for my liking. I've joined up with a new group, and we're called the Pink Fluffy Islands. Playing a lot more progressive pop/rock, trying to bland 10cc, Supertramp, Steely Dan and Yes all into one. It's great fun.

Featured Artist: My current featured artist is =Groundbase, one of my favourite digital landscape and terraspace artists. You can find the article I wrote on his works here: [link] Everyone knows `alyn, `dinyctis and `tigaer as the kings of space scenes, digital landscapes and combinations of them both. But there are less known people such as =Groundbase (formerly ~ragnarock2000) who are truly talented and producing fantastic space and landscape scenes. Please take some time to check both his accounts at =Groundbase and ~ragnarock2000 out , it will be well worth your time.
Featured Club: I have just become the resident Co-Admin of a club, a position I'm terribly honored to have received. The ~Silmarillion-Club is a deviantART group devoted to the early works of Tolkien and the History of Middle Earth (i.e. The Silmarillion). So if you are looking for hype about the Lord of the Rings trilogy of books or films, this is unfortunately not the right place to look. But if you are interested in the history and deep dark working of Tolkien's Middle Earth, then by all means check them out.
